The  Pelkor choden monastery is located at the west town of Gyantse ,and which was founded  in 1418 by No first Tibetan religious leader Banchen Lama and the Local King Rabten Gongsang,the monastery was once a complex of 15 monasteries that brought togather three difference orders of Tibetan Buddhist in the one compound. a rare instant of  multiddenominational tolerance.Nine of  the monasterieas were Gelukpa,three were Sakyapa and thre belong to the obscure Boton suborder, whose head  monastery  was Shalu  near Shigatse.
